Some women can also have an orgasm through kissing, nipple stimulation, or simply pressing their legs together.
  12. Not all sexual positions lend themselves well to female orgasm. Rear-entry positions, for example, miss the clitoris entirely.

'I'm not married' - Adele denies 'secret wedding'

Adele has responded to the rumours that she secretly married boyfriend and baby daddy Simon Konecki.

"I'm not married...Zzzzzzz," she Tweeted.

Love it. All that tweet is missing is a huffy *eyeroll*.

Rumour had it: She's been off the radar since announcing her pregnancy in June, but soul chanteuse Adele was recently snapped for the first time with a burgeoning baby bump - and a possible wedding ring.

Life & Style magazine has the first photographs of the 24-year-old British chart-topper and her sizable bump out and about in London on July 30.

The snaps published in the mag show the star shopping for antiques wearing a long flowing black outfit.

"Adele was relaxed and calm, and she and Simon looked really great together," an eyewitness told the mag. "She seemed very, very happy. She absolutely does have a pregnancy glow."

And it's not just the Someone Like You singer's baby bump that's generating buzz.

The mother-to-be was also snapped sporting a gold band on her ring finger, sparking rumours that she and boyfriend Simon Konecki may have already tied the knot in secret.

A source is quoted as telling the mag: "Adele and Simon managed to keep the baby news a secret for so long that there are rumours they've already gotten married, too.

"She's an old-fashioned girl and can't wait to be part of a family unit. She just wants to focus on the baby and the man she loves."

'They did get married...'

The Daily Mail also reports that a source close to Adele has 'confirmed' that the singer got hitched in secret.

"They did get married, and I was present. It was a fabulous occasion," said the source.

"Adele was dressed in a classic attire and Simon looked very smart and joyous."

So is she married? While there's been no official word from her rep, Marc Shapiro, author of Adele: The Biography, says he "wouldn't be surprised" if she'd tied the knot on the down-low.

"It wouldn't surprise me if she were already married. My gut would tell me that's what she'd do," he told the Mirror newspaper.

"Her parents weren't married, but Adele is very family-oriented."

The singer dished to Vogue earlier this year that she considered herself good wife material.

"Come on! I'm wifey material! I'm great. No one's got to be brave," she shared.

"It's not like, 'You f*** me over and I'm going to write a record and make you the most hated man in the world.' I am never writing a breakup record again, by the way."

She added: "I'm done with being a bitter witch."

The star also credited her boyfriend for helping her get through throat surgery last year.

She gushed: "He's wonderful. And he's proud of me, but he doesn't care about what I do or what other people think.

"He looks after me. I don't think I would have gotten through the recovery for my surgery if it hadn't been for him."

Adele has been dating charity entrepreneur Konecki since last December.

'I'm delighted to announce...'

The singer announced her pregnancy via a post on her official blog on June 29.

"I'm delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together," she wrote. "I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we're over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time."

The singer did not give any indication of how far along in her pregnancy she was, but a recent report suggested she could be giving birth in September.

"Adele has barely left the house in recent months, so she could keep this to herself for as long as possible," a so-called insider told Heat magazine.

Baby daddy-to-be Konecki also recently hinted that the couple could be expecting a delivery sooner than we all expected.

"The baby is coming so soon," he told the Daily Mail. "I'm very excited. Adele is doing well and we can't wait."

12 Ways to Center Your Life Around Love and Happiness

Today is a new day – a new beginning.  You have been given this day to use as you please.  You can waste it or you can use it for something worthwhile.  Either way, what you do today is important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it.

When tomorrow comes, today will be gone forever.  In its place will be something that you have left behind.  Please, let it be something worthwhile.  Let it be something that spreads love and happiness.

Here’s how:

Be kinder than necessary. – You will never fully understand some things until these things actually happen to you. So be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of unique battle.  And remember, you will come across some people in life who always seem to create conflicts.  When you meet them, smile and walk away.  The battle they are fighting isn’t with you, it’s within them.
Put sincere effort into your relationships. – Don’t confuse the people who are always lingering around with the ones who are truly there.  Good relationships don’t just happen, and they aren’t built solely on a foundation of convenience.  They take time, patience, effort, and two people who want to be together and are willing to meet in the middle.
Remind your loved ones that you love them every chance you get. – It doesn’t always matter where you go, what you do, or how much you have.  Sometimes all that matters is who you have beside you.  So be grateful for the wonderful people in your life, and let them know how much they mean to you on a regular basis.
Stretch yourself, and make yourself proud. – You can’t grow unless you do.  Yes, as you stretch you will feel some discomfort.  You will have to deal with the pain of the unknown as you work new emotional and intellectual muscle groups.  But don’t let that stop you.  Far too many people are fearful of the unknown, comfy with putting in the least amount of effort, and not willing to put up with short-term pain for long-term gain.  But not you – you know better.  Stretch yourself, be all you can be and seize your true potential.
Let your tears nourish your healing. – If tears could talk, this is what they’d say:  I am the raindrop that nourishes your healing.  Open your door to me in times of angst.  I will not stay forever.  Only long enough to clear the path of debris so hope and joy can reach you.  Only long enough to cleanse your eyes so your vision will be clear enough to recognize goodness when it comes.
Don’t wait for a reason to be grateful. – Just be grateful for everything you have now, and the reasons will quickly find you.  Being happy doesn’t always make us grateful, but being grateful will always make us happy.  And if you’re finding it hard to be grateful for something, sit down, close your eyes and take a long slow breath, and be grateful for oxygen.  Every breath you take is in sync with someone’s last.
Express your appreciation daily. – Before going to bed tonight, take a moment to appreciate yourself for three things you accomplished today.  If you are in a relationship, take moment to openly discuss and appreciate three things you each accomplished today.  What we focus on expands.  What we appreciate, appreciates in value.
Say less when less means more. – You are as beautiful as the love you give, and you are as wise as the silence you leave behind.
Rediscover your inner child. – If you’ve forgotten the feel of joy, and don’t remember when you last felt wonder, let a child lead you back to the days when rocks breathed, and leaves sailed, and happiness was watching water dance through your hands.  Back to a time when you knew that every treasure worth having could be unearthed in your own back yard.
Be good to yourself. – Look at yourself in the mirror and say, “I love you, and from now on I’m going to act like it.”  It’s important to be nice to others, but it’s even more important to be nice to yourself.  When you act as your own best friend, you allow yourself to be happy.  When you are happy, you become a better friend, a better family member, and you inspire others to be happier too.
Stop waiting for the perfect moment. – Take each moment, appreciate it and make it perfect.  If you want to get really good at something or get somewhere new, let go of the notion of perfection and replace it with the notion of endless, playful exploration.  And don’t be afraid of change; oftentimes we will shed something good, and gain something even better.
Inject a little goodness into the world whenever you can. – When you become overwhelmed because it seems the whole world is exploding with hatred, violence, ignorance, and apathy, you have two choices:  You can either bury your head in the sand, or you can rest your cheek upon it, breathe until you feel whole again, then lift your head and ask, “How can I add some goodness?”
And remember, although every story has an end, in life every ending is just a new beginning.  Life goes on – not always the way we had envisioned it would be, but always the way it’s supposed to be.  We usually can’t choose the music life plays for us, but we can choose how we dance to it.

However, the end of love is not the end of life.  It should be the beginning of understanding that love leaves for a reason, but never leaves without a lesson.
  67. When things fall apart, consider the possibility that life knocked it down on purpose.  Not to bully you, or to punish you, but to prompt you to build something that better suits your personality and your purpose.  Sometimes things fall apart so better things can fall together.
  68. Everyone wants a perfect ending.  But over the years I’ve learned that some of the best poems don’t rhyme, and many great stories don’t have a clear beginning, middle, or end.  Life is about not knowing, embracing change, and taking a moment and making the best of it without knowing what’s going to happen next.

15 Ways to Live, and Not Merely Exist

As Jack London once said, “The proper function of man is to live, not to exist.”  Far too often we travel through life on autopilot, going through the motions, accepting what is, and having every day pass like the one before it.  Everything seems relatively normal and comfortable, except that constant twitch in the back of your mind that’s saying, “It’s time to make some changes.”
Here are 15 simple suggestions for those who want to break free from the mold and truly live more of their life – to experience it and enjoy it to the fullest, instead of settling for a mere existence.
  1. Appreciate the great people and things in your life. – Sometimes we don’t notice the things others do for us until they stop doing them.  Don’t be like that.  Be grateful for what you have, who loves you, and who cares for you.  You’ll never know how much they mean to you until the day they’re no longer beside you.  Truly appreciate those around you, and you’ll soon find many others around you.  Truly appreciate life, and you’ll find that you have more of it to live.
  2. Ignore other people’s negativity. – If you allow people to make more withdrawals than deposits in your life, you will be out of balance and in the negative before you know it.  Ignore unconstructive, hurtful commentary.  No one has the right to judge you.  They may have heard your stories, but they didn’t feel what you were going through.  You do not have control over what others say; but you do have control over whether or not you allow them to say these things to you. You alone can deny their poisonous words from invading your heart and mind.
  3. Forgive those who have hurt you. – I forgive people, but that doesn’t mean I trust them.  I just don’t have time to hate people who hurt me, because I’m too busy loving people who love me.  The first to apologize is the bravest.  The first to forgive is the strongest.  The first to move forward is the happiest.  Be brave.  Be strong.  Be happy.  Be free.
  4. Be who you really are. – If you’re lucky enough to have something that makes you different from everybody else, don’t change.  Uniqueness is priceless.  In this crazy world that’s trying to make you like everyone else, find the courage to keep being your awesome self.  And when they laugh at you for being different, laugh back at them for being the same.  It takes a lot of courage to stand alone, but it’s worth it.  Being YOU is worth it!
  5. Choose to listen to your inner voice. – Life is a courageous journey or nothing at all.  We cannot become who we want to be by continuing to do exactly what we’ve been doing.  Choose to listen to your inner voice, not the jumbled opinions of everyone else.  Do what you know in your heart is right for YOU.  It’s your road, and yours alone.  Others may walk it with you, but no one can walk it for you.  And be sure to appreciate every day of your life.  Good days give you happiness, bad days give you experience, and the worst days give you the best lessons.
  6. Embrace change and enjoy your life as it unfolds. – The hardest part about growing is letting go of what you were used to, and moving on with something you’re not.  Sometimes you have to stop worrying, wondering, and doubting, and have faith that things will work out.  Laugh at the confusion, live consciously in the moment, and enjoy your life as it unfolds.  You might not end up exactly where you intended to go, but eventually you will arrive precisely where you need to be.
  7. Choose your relationships wisely. – The best relationships are not just about the good times you share, they’re also about the obstacles you go through together, and the fact that you still say “I love you” in the end.  And loving someone isn’t just about saying it every day, it’s showing it every day in every way.  Relationships must be chosen wisely.  Don’t rush love.  Wait until you truly find it.  Don’t let loneliness drive you back into the arms of someone you know you don’t belong with.  Fall in love when you’re ready, not when you’re lonely.  A great relationship is worth waiting for.
  8. Recognize those who love you. – The most memorable people in your life will be the ones who loved you when you weren’t very loveable.  Pay attention to who these people are in your life, and love them back, even when they aren’t acting loveable.
  9. Love yourself too. – If you can love children, in spite of the messes they make; your mother, in spite of her tendency to nag; your father, even though he’s too opinionated; your sibling, even though she’s always late; your friend, even though he often forgets to return what he borrows, then you know how to love imperfect people, and can surely love yourself.
  10. Do things your future self will thank you for. – What you do every day matters more than what you do every once in a while.  What you do today is important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it.  Make sure it’s worthwhile.
  11. Be thankful for all the troubles you don’t have. – There are two ways of being rich: One is to have all you want, the other is to be satisfied with what you have.  Accept and appreciate things now, and you’ll find more happiness in every moment you live.  Happiness comes when we stop complaining about the troubles we have and offer thanks for all the troubles we don’t have.  And remember, you have to fight through some bad days to earn the best days of your life.
  12. Leave enough time for fun. – Sometimes you need to take a few steps back to see things clearly.  Never let your life become so filled with work, your mind become so crammed with worry, or your heart become so jammed with old hurts or anger, that there’s no room left in them for fun, for awe, or for joy.
  13. Enjoy the little things in life. – The best things in life are free.  There is absolute joy and wonder to be had in the simplest of moments.  Watching the sunset over the horizon or spending time with a family member. Enjoy the little things, because one day you may look back and discover they were the big things.
  14. Accept the fact that the past in not today. – Don’t let the past steal your present and future from you.  You might not be proud of all the things you’ve done in the past, but that’s okay.  The past is not today.  The past cannot be changed, forgotten, or erased.  It can only be accepted.  We all make mistakes, have struggles, and even regret things in our past.  But you are not your mistakes, you are not your struggles, and you are here NOW with the power to shape your day and your future.
  15. Let go when you must. – It’s not always about trying to fix something that’s broken.  Some relationships and situations just can’t be fixed.  If you try to force them back together, things will only get worse.  Sometimes it’s about starting over and creating something better.  Strength shows not only in the ability to persist, but in the ability to start over again with a smile on your face and passion in your heart.

Celine Dion poses topless, flaunts mile-long legs in sexy V magazine photo shoot

Despite the risks and rigors of a performer’s life, Celine tells V Magazine she never had another choice. ‘I was brought into this world to do this, no doubt.’
The confidence she's gained from being a mother shows.
"I've been an open book all my life, and I think that's why people like me," Dion said. "I've been criticized for it, but I'm not forcing myself to be the person that you see."

Celine opens up her heart and goes on about Adele, Whitney Houston, motherhood and her man in an interview and photo shoot in V Magazine
Celine Dion has got it bad for Adele.

The stunning Canadian songstress calls the Grammy-winning singer "a total package" in an interview  for V Magazine's upcoming travel issue.

"I think that her whole image is very good!" the 44-year-old star said. "The way that she is will definitely help the new generation of girls accept themselves."

Fortunately Celine has a solid marriage to help her stay away from some of the disastrous choices made by others in the music business. And now she has a family. ‘I thought I had a life before, but until I was a mom, I had no idea. I'm more grounded now than ever before. She told V Magazine.

Celine confesses to V Magazine, ‘I have always been scared of the industry.’ The toll the business — especially its often-related lifestyle choices — has taken on other singers is not lost on her. Says the Canadian diva, ‘I was just in shock when Whitney's life had been taken because of drugs. It's a big loss for all of us.’

But the star says she won't let her concerns stop her from taking the stage.
"I was brought into this world to do this, no doubt," she said, though acknowledging that she's taken on a much more important endeavor in recent years - motherhood.
"I thought I had a life before, but until I was a mom, I had no idea. I'm more grounded now than ever before," she said.

On Thursday's Today show, Kathie Lee Gifford confirmed what the Boston Herald reported Wednesday: Conor Kennedy and his girlfriend Taylor Swift crashed the wedding of Kyle Kennedy in Boston last Saturday.

"The truth, because I was there," Gifford said on television, "[is that] Vicki, [my husband] Frank's daughter's account of what happened in Boston is accurate."

Kathie Lee, the step-grandmother of the bride, explained that Conor was invited to the wedding but failed to RSVP and, instead, texted the bride's mother, Victoria Gifford Kennedy, right before the ceremony and asked to attend.

"He got in touch with her an hour earlier and said, basically, 'Can I bring my girlfriend?' " Gifford explained. "[It was] a beautiful sit-down dinner that had been planned for months."

Nevertheless, the pair showed up at the wedding, says Kathie Lee.

A source close to the bride and groom says "It was kind of weird, and the family felt like they couldn't do anything."

Still, says Gifford, Conor and Swift, whom she said was waiting in the hallway for her boyfriend, did eventually leave. "[Conor] came out and took [Swift] by the hand and they left," said Kathie Lee. "So, I didn't know there was any drama going on at the time."

So, why were the two asked to leave? As Gifford's Today co-host Hoda Kotb put it: "When Taylor Swift walks into your wedding, she gets all the attention and you're chopped liver."

Meanwhile, Conor and Swift did return to dance at the reception. ("At that point [the bride and groom] didn't care," says the source.)

And Kathie Lee adds, perhaps the Grammy winning singer didn't know she committed a faux pas.

"I'm not sure she didn't know she wasn't invited," says Gifford.

Swift's rep, Paula Erickson, told the Boston Herald that the singer was indeed invited to the wedding and "the bride thanked her profusely for being there."

Alicia Keys Unleashes Confident Girl On Fire Cover

Fans eagerly awaiting Alicia Keys' performance at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards now have something to help bide their time: the singer revealed the cover art for Girl On Fire, unveiled Thursday (August 23).
The picture for her fifth studio album shows Alicia rocking a sleek haircut and striking a confident pose — she means serious business. In June, Keys gave the public a taste of her new musical direction with the song, "New Day", an up-tempo track that was propelled by heavy drums. It was something that most of us are not used to hearing from Alicia, and that's exactly the way that she wants it.
"Girl On Fire is about finding your voice, about being unleashed and about trusting your instincts and trusting yourself," said Keys. "I can't wait to share it with the world."
Although she's experimenting sonically, Keys promises that her album (out November 27) will still feature her signature smooth, soulful sound. To help her with Girl on Fire, Keys enlisted longtime songwriting partner Krucial Keys, Babyface, Jeff Bhasker, Gary Clarke Jr., and many others, including up-and-coming U.K. artists Emeli Sandé and Jamie xx. A full track listing for the album is due to be released shortly.
This is Keys' first album since 2009's The Element of Freedom, which sold over 4 million copies worldwide. In that time, she married hip-hop superstar producer Swizz Beatz in July 2010 and gave birth to her first child, a son named Egypt, in October of the same year.
Fans can expect to be seeing a lot of Alicia in the upcoming months as she embarks on a heavy promotional push for Girl on Fire. She will debut the first single off the album September 6 at the 2012 VMAs. The song is expected to be released on iTunes and radio two days before on September 4. She's also due to bare her soul on an episode of VH1's "Storytellers," scheduled to air on November 12. And more recently, her #1 hit Empire State of Mind with Jay-Z, sold over 5 million copies as of this week, becoming the bestselling single of
their careers.

Madonna Dedicates Song to Elton John, Says She Forgives Him

Based on what she reportedly said on-stage at her concert in Nice, France on Tuesday night, it looks like Madonna doesn’t hold a grudge against Elton John for those critical things he said about her on Australian TV not long ago.
According to the Twitter feed of the local paper, Nice Matin, Madonna performed her song “Masterpiece” at the show and dedicated it to Elton, saying he’s a “big fan” of hers. Then she added, “I forgive him.”
The choice of “Masterpiece” as the dedication song, though, may have been a back handed tribute. You may recall that it’s the song that won her a Golden Globe earlier this year, beating out a song of Elton’s in the process. Prior to the show, Elton declared that she didn’t have a chance of winning; afterwards, his partner David Furnish publicly trashed Madonna and complained about the win.
At that same concert in Nice, Madonna seemed to bow to political pressure by changing one of the video clips that plays behind her on-stage. For most of the tour, she’d included an image of Marine Le Pen, leader of France’s far-right party, with a swastika on her forehead, leading Le Pen’s party to launch legal action against her. The party had threatened to do so again if she displayed the image at the Nice concert, but this time around, the swastika was replaced by a question mark, according to the news agency.
A local party supporter was quoted saying, “As far as I know, Madonna has never changed a video clip. This is proof that our arguments were valid.

Britney Spears -- 'Medical Issue' Is Behind Conservatorship

There's a reason Britney Spears' conservatorship has lasted 4 1/2 years with no end in sight -- it's because she has a serious medical issue that prevents her from making consistently sound decisions. Documents were filed Tuesday in the conservatorship case, urgently asking the judge to seal certain records.  In the papers, lawyers for the conservators called the records "highly sensitive," adding "irreparable harm and immediate danger" would befall Britney if the documents weren't sealed. the records are medical documents outlining Britney's condition and treatment. The singer has a disorder affecting her personality that can affect her state of mind. She is doing "extremely well" but needs the safety net of a conservatorship. Sources say there is no plan to end the conservatorship, and the judge is completely down with it. There are two components of the conservatorship -- the personal and the business.  The personal conservatorship allows Jamie Spears and Jason Trawick to make life decisions for her.  The business conservatorship involves managing Britney's career and fortune.  As for the business side, it will probably go on indefinitely because it has been incredibly successful.

Liberty Ross -- Hubby Rupert Sanders Makes Full Court Press to Save Marriage

Rupert Sanders -- the straying hubby of Liberty Ross --  is "desperate" to save his marriage ... so say sources connected to the famous director. Sources say Rupert is begging Liberty to give him another chance, but Liberty is playing it cool.  She is non-committal, but our Rupert sources say she has imposed a number of "conditions" that must be met for a possible reconciliation. As for the conditions ... the easy one is keeping his genitals to himself. Rupert has told Liberty he's down with that. The sources say Rupert has been told in no uncertain terms he must be a better husband.  As for whether he's up to the task ... the jury is out. Sources say it doesn't look like there will be an immediate decision on the marriage -- it's likely to take months.

28 Dignified Ways to Impress Everyone Around You

Far more often than any of us like to admit, our actions are driven by an inner desire to impress other people.  This desire is often reflected in the brand name products we use, the bars and restaurants we frequent, the houses and cars we buy and the careers we choose.

But are name brand products, fancy bars, houses and cars really that impressive?  What about a person who holds an elite position in a career field they dislike?  Some of these things might capture our attention for a minute or two, but they won’t hold it for long.

Why?  Because tangible possessions are not as impressive as intangible qualities.

Consider the following questions:

• He drives a Porsche, but can he truly afford the car payment?
• He owns a big house, but is it a loving household?
• He makes a lot of money, but does he enjoy what he does for a living?

You get the idea.  Whenever the answer to questions like these is ‘no,’ the subject who initially appeared to be impressive no longer does.

Now take a moment and imagine a person who loves what he does for a living, smiles frequently and bleeds passion in every breath he takes.  Would he impress you?  Would it matter that he wasn’t a millionaire?

Here are 28 dignified ways to impress everyone around you.  If you practice these tips on a regular basis, they won’t just impress others, they’ll help you become a better person too.

We make a living by what we get.  We make a life by what we give.

1. Be honest and take ownership of your actions. – Nobody likes a liar.  In the long-run, the truth always reveals itself anyway.  Either you own up to your actions or your actions will ultimately own you.

2.Make others feel good. – People will rarely remember what you did, but they will always remember how you made them feel.

3.Be authentic.  Be true to yourself. – Judy Garland once said, “Always be a first rate version of yourself instead of a second rate version of somebody else.”  Live by this statement.  There is no such thing as living in someone else’s shoes.  The only shoes you can occupy are your own.  If you aren’t being yourself, you aren’t truly living – you’re merely existing.  And ask yourself this:  If you don’t like who you really are, why should I like you?

4.Care about people. – If you don’t genuinely care about people, they won’t care about you.  The more you help others, the more they will want to help you.  Love and kindness begets love and kindness.  And so on and so forth.

5. Smile often. – Everyone likes the sight of a genuine smile.  Think about how you feel when a complete stranger looks into your eyes and smiles.  Suddenly they don’t seem like a stranger anymore, do they?

6. Respect elders.  Respect minors.  Respect everyone. – There are no boundaries or classes that define a group of people that deserve to be respected.  Treat everyone with the same level of respect you would give to your grandfather and the same level of patience you would have with your baby brother.  People will notice your kindness.

7. Address people by their name. – People love the sight and sound of their own name.  So make sure you learn to remember names.  Use them courteously in both oral and written communication.

8. Say “Please” and “Thank you.” – These two simple phrases make demands sound like requests, and they inject a friendly tone into serious conversations.  Using them can mean the difference between sounding rude and sounding genuinely grateful.

9. Excel at what you do. – I am impressed by great guitarists, writers, bloggers, painters, motivational speakers, internet entrepreneurs, computer engineers, mothers, fathers, athletes, etc.  There is only one thing they all have in common: They excel at what they do.  There’s no point in doing something if you aren’t going to do it right.  Excel at your work and excel at your hobbies.  Develop a reputation for yourself, a reputation for consistent excellence.

10. Help others when you’re able. – In life, you get what you put in.  When you make a positive impact in someone else’s life, you also make a positive impact in your own life.  Do something that’s greater than you – something that helps someone else to be happy or to suffer less.  Everyone values the gift of unexpected assistance and those who supply it.

11. Put a small personal touch on everything you do. – Think of it as branding your work.  If you’re funny, add a little humor into it.  If you’re an artist, decorate it with illustrations.  Whatever you do, customize it with a little personal touch of ‘you.’

12. Over-deliver on all of your promises. – Some people habitually make promises they are just barely able to fulfill.  They promise perfection and deliver mediocrity.  If you want to boost your personal value in the eyes of others, do the exact opposite.  Slightly under-sell your capabilities so that you’re always able to over-deliver.  It will seem to others like you’re habitually going above and beyond the call of duty.

13. Get organized. – How can you get anything accomplished if you aren’t organized?  You can’t.  Make a regular habit of organizing your living space and working space.

14. Do your research and ask clarifying questions. – Don’t be that clueless dude in the room who just nods like he knows what’s going on.  Prepare yourself by doing research ahead of time.  And if something still doesn’t make sense to you, ask questions.  The people involved will respect your desire to understand the material.

15. Share knowledge and information with others. – When you can, be a resource to those around you.  If you have access to essential information, don’t hoard it.  Share it openly.

16. Be positive and focus on what’s right. – Everything that happens in life is neither good nor bad. It just depends on your perspective.  And no matter how it turns out, it always ends up just the way it should.  Either you succeed or you learn something.  So stay positive, appreciate the pleasant outcomes, and learn from the rest.  Your positivity will rub off on everyone around you.

17. Listen intently to what others have to say. – Eyes focused, ears tuned, mobile phone off.  In a world that can’t move fast enough, someone who can find time to listen to others is always appreciated.

18. Be faithful to your significant other. – Tiger Woods was everyone’s hero until recently, wasn’t he?  Sustained fidelity in a long-term intimate relationship is not only impressive, it creates a healthy foundation for everything else you do.

19. Learn to appreciate and love Mother Nature. – Those who truly appreciate and love the natural world surrounding us typically exhibit the same high regard for all humanity.  It’s a positive way to live, and it’s something people notice.

20. Invest time, energy and money in yourself every day. – When you invest in yourself, you can never lose, and over time you will change the trajectory of your life.  You are simply the product of what you know.  The more time, energy and money you spend acquiring pertinent knowledge, the more control you have over your life and the more valuable you will be to everyone around you.

21. Perform random acts of kindness on a regular basis. – Pay for a stranger’s coffee in line at Starbucks.  Buy the office receptionist flowers just to say, “Thank you.”  Help an elderly lady with her groceries.  There’s nothing more rewarding than putting smiles on the faces around you.

22. Compliment people who deserve it. – Go out of your way to personally acknowledge and complement the people who have gone out of their way to shine.  Everybody likes to hear that their efforts are appreciated.

23. Speak clearly and make eye contact. – Most people have a very low tolerance for dealing with people they can’t understand.  Mystery does not fuel strong relationships and impressiveness.  Also, there’s little doubt that eye contact is one of the most captivating forms of personal communication.  When executed properly, eye contact injects closeness into human interaction.

24. Make yourself available and approachable. – If people cannot get a hold of you, or have trouble approaching you, they will forget about you.  Your general availability and accessibility to others is extremely important to them.  Always maintain a positive, tolerant attitude and keep an open line of communication to those around you.

25. Be self-sufficient. – Freedom is the greatest gift.  Self-sufficiency is the greatest freedom.  And self-sufficiency is quite impressive too.   In the business world, it’s one of the primary dreams that inspire people to give-up their day jobs to pursue entrepreneurship.

26. Exploit the resources you do have access to. – The average person is usually astonished when they see a physically handicap person show intense signs of emotional happiness.  How could someone in such a restricted physical state be so happy?  The answer rests in how they use the resources they do have.  Stevie Wonder couldn’t see, so he exploited his sense of hearing into a passion for music, and he now has 25 Grammy Awards to prove it.

27. Be a part of something you believe in. – This could be anything.  Some people take an active role in their local city council, some find refuge in religious faith, some join social clubs supporting causes they believe in, and others find passion in their careers.  In each case the psychological outcome is the same.  They engage themselves in something they strongly believe in.  This engagement brings happiness and meaning into their lives. It's hard not to be impressed by someone who's passionate about what they're doing.

28. Stand up for your beliefs without flaunting them. – Yes, it is possible to stand up for your beliefs without foisting them down someone else’s throat.  Discuss your personal beliefs when someone asks about them, but don’t spawn offensive attacks of propaganda on unsuspecting victims.  Stand firm by your values and always keep an open mind to new information.

Of course, the coolest thing about this list is that everything you need to impress everyone around you is already contained within you.  So stop trying to impress people with the possessions you own and start inspiring them with who you are and how you live your life.
